Ji Seungbae is an artist who visualizes the sensation of time and the inner landscapes of contemporary life through structures of repetition and cyclical imagery. By accumulating color and form into layered depths, he explores the continuous flow of existence. His Space Odyssey series reveals thresholds—doors, windows, and passages—where open and closed worlds, reality and the virtual, beginnings and endings intersect, prompting viewers to reflect on the time we have passed and the direction ahead.

This narrative naturally resonates with the history of Standard Chartered, whose 19th-century trade routes connected Asia and Europe, creating new channels of exchange and movement. Much like those maritime pathways that bridged distant worlds, Ji’s canvases extend pathways of color and form, generating new routes of value. This exhibition illuminates SC First Bank’s heritage and forward-looking vision at the very intersection where time, space, and value converge.
